Dimraeth classes

Brawler, Mage and Shadow are playable now.

The short answer

You can currently choose Brawler, Mage or Shadow in Dimraeth Early Access. Pair a class with Human, Minotaur or Elf to define your Archetype. The advertised six-class roster is a future target, not today’s selection.

Current classes

The launch announcement uses Mage; the official website also calls it Magician. This guide uses Mage consistently.

Brawler

The official overview describes an agile melee fighter built around weapon strikes, swift movement and stamina.

Official Dimraeth website

Mage

Called Magician on the official website, this class combines elemental spells with weapon attacks to influence the battlefield.

Shadow

The official Early Access update describes Shadow as a stealth-themed class associated with poison, plague and decay.

Which class should you choose first?

Start with the combat style you want to explore, then read the skill tree for your race–class pairing. The official descriptions point to close combat for Brawler, elemental magic for Mage, and stealth with poison, plague and decay for Shadow. These themes help you choose an identity; they do not establish a strongest build.

  • Brawler: Consider Brawler if you enjoy staying close to enemies and managing the rhythm of melee combat.
  • Mage: Consider Mage if elemental magic and a mix of spells and weapon attacks appeal to you.
  • Shadow: Consider Shadow if its stealth and affliction themes appeal to you. Check the current skill tree for how those abilities work.

These are preference-based suggestions from official descriptions, not tested rankings. No strongest-class claim is made here.

Race and class combinations

An Archetype is your race–class pairing. Mudtek describes each pairing as having its own skill tree. A class name alone is therefore only part of your character choice.

These nine pairings are derived from the confirmed three-race, three-class roster and the official pairing system. They are descriptive combinations, not a verified list of in-game Archetype titles.

Character creation — November 2025

From class choice to a build

Creator walkthroughs add practical examples to the official class themes: SwoleBenji demonstrates a Minotaur Brawler bleed route on Moderate difficulty, while Larry Puss explores Elf Shadow spell and buff interactions. These are examples with different goals, not a controlled ranking of the classes.

Read Dimraeth builds for the progression priorities and character creation for weapons, passive-dependent attributes and reset costs. Videos sometimes say rogue or assassin as a playstyle label; the official launch class name remains Shadow.

Future classes and 48 Archetypes

Available now: 3 classes and 3 races. Planned scope: 6 classes and 8 races.

The wider design targets eight races and six classes. The November 2025 character-creation post explicitly places an 8+ race, six-class roster in the intended 1.0 version. The current launch roster remains three of each.

Treat the larger roster as a development plan. Unannounced class names and release dates are not listed here.

Common questions

Are Mage and Magician different classes?

The official sources use both names for the magic class. The September 2026 launch post calls it Mage; the website uses Magician. They are not listed as two separate launch classes.

Is Persona another class?

No. The older character-creation explanation treats Persona as a separate dialogue-personality choice. It is not part of the three-class launch roster.

Can I follow a Demo build unchanged?

Use caution: the Early Access announcement lists a skill-tree overhaul. Old node-by-node advice needs to be checked against the current game.
