Dimraeth Elf Shadow bleed build

Build around Shadow Convergence and Bleed without confusing it with the separate Temporal Surge-to-Double Strike example.

The short answer

Treat Shadow Convergence with Bleed as one Elf Shadow route and Temporal Surge into Double Strike as a separate buff-conversion example. In the Convergence route shown by creators, the practical sequence is to establish the attack with Vanishing Strike and Tendon Slice, generate Bleed, use Shadow Convergence or another chosen spender at the right time, then continue with dagger attacks while rebuilding resources. Do not combine every named skill until your current tree, modifiers, five equipped spells and resource costs support the same loop.

This guide separates two examples that are easy to merge by mistake. Revvy and a newer Larry Puss video focus on Shadow Convergence and Bleed. Larry’s older buildcraft video instead demonstrates Temporal Surge being converted into Double Strike. Both can teach useful mechanics, but the available evidence does not establish one recommended build containing every part.

For other starter directions, see the Dimraeth builds guide. If you are still deciding between race weapons and class themes, read character creation first.

How the Shadow Convergence bleed loop works

Revvy’s creator example shows a practical setup → status → payoff → rebuild structure. 00:40–01:10 is the quickest place to inspect the active loop; later sections explain selected modifiers and Bleed interactions.

Revvy — Shadow Convergence and bleed

1. Open with the route’s setup skills

The demonstrated route uses Vanishing Strike and Tendon Slice as part of its setup. Record what each current tooltip actually does: the direct hit, any status it applies, the resource cost and the selected modifier are separate facts.

Do not shorten Vanishing Strike to “Vanish.” Vanish is the Elf defensive action, while Vanishing Strike is a named attack. Mixing the terms makes defensive timing and build instructions much harder to follow.

2. Generate Bleed before spending it

Bleed is not just a label on the build. The loop needs a reliable action that applies or builds the status before a skill that consumes or exploits it can deliver its payoff. In Revvy’s demonstrated configuration, 05:39–07:22 associates Harvesting Strike and Shadow Convergence with the creator’s Bleed-management choices.

Use the recorded build as an example, not a global formula. Different videos and modifiers display different requirements, so this guide does not publish one universal Bleed-stack maximum.

3. Use Shadow Convergence at a deliberate point

Shadow Convergence belongs after the setup, not as a button pressed on cooldown without checking the target’s state. Before using it, ask:

  • Is the target carrying the status or condition this modifier expects?
  • Will the skill consume Bleed that you wanted to preserve for another payoff?
  • Do you have enough stamina or concentration to finish the sequence and defend?
  • Are the enemies grouped closely enough for the demonstrated effect to matter?

4. Continue with dagger attacks and rebuild

The recorded route returns to Elf dagger attacks after its setup and Convergence window. Normal attacks are also relevant to resources: a developer reply describes successful normal-attack hits as a way to restore concentration, while stamina recovers under different conditions and is spent by defensive actions.

Developer and moderator — combat resources

That means “waiting for cooldowns” should not be empty time. Use safe attacks when they support recovery, reposition when stamina is low, and avoid extending the string if the next enemy action will catch you without a defense.

The Elf-specific Many Cut Phantom option

At 01:19–01:54, Revvy discusses Many Cut Phantom as an Elf interaction in the demonstrated build. The creator presents it as consuming Bleed to add phantom or clone pressure. Treat that statement as specific to the visible configuration and current tooltip; it does not prove that every Elf Shadow should take the same modifier.

Revvy — Shadow Convergence and bleed

Before selecting it, check four things:

  1. Which skill or aspect contains the option.
  2. Whether another modifier in the same branch is mutually exclusive.
  3. How much Bleed the interaction expects in your current version.
  4. Whether spending those stacks improves your actual encounter more than maintaining them.

The official skill-system explanation confirms that spells can have modifier choices and that some selections under the same aspect are exclusive. It does not confirm this creator’s entire tree as a permanent template.

Shadow Convergence vs. Temporal Surge and Double Strike

These are different examples from different recordings.

ExampleWhat the source demonstratesWhat it does not prove
Shadow Convergence and BleedA Shadow route using Vanishing Strike, Tendon Slice, Bleed management, Convergence and dagger follow-upThat Temporal Surge and Double Strike are required
Temporal Surge → Double StrikeBackstab Strike grants Temporal Surge; Echo of Mutilation converts it into Double Strike; weapon swings consume the new stacksThat this is the same Convergence loadout or that both fit one optimal rotation

Larry Puss’s older video demonstrates the conversion at 04:14–05:57. The Codex text read in the video says Double Strike stacks are consumed by swings to deal their damage twice. This is a clear example of generate one buff → convert it → consume the result.

Larry Puss — build experiments

The newer Larry Puss video instead discusses Vanishing Strike, Bleed, Tendon Slice and Shadow Convergence. That is useful corroboration that Convergence is a separate subject in the creator’s later build coverage; it does not by itself establish incompatibility with every Temporal option.

Larry Puss — early Shadow Convergence route

Can the two setups be combined?

Possibly on some configuration, but the current evidence is insufficient to recommend the combination. Confirm all of the following on one unchanged character:

  • The complete equipped five-spell bar.
  • The selected modifiers and any mutually exclusive choices.
  • The prerequisites in the current Elf, Shadow and Archetype trees.
  • The stamina and concentration budget for the full sequence.
  • A continuous combat clip showing that both mechanics contribute without a configuration swap.

Until then, use the Convergence route as the main build and the Temporal conversion as a separate mechanic you can test.

Temporal Surge is not Temporal Echo

Similar names create another source of confusion. Larry’s older example puts Temporal Surge on the character before converting it to Double Strike. Revvy’s later video inspects Temporal Echo at 10:10–10:35 as a different effect associated with an enemy. Do not merge their tooltips or triggers.

Stats and resource trade-offs

Elf dagger speed can make an Agility-heavy plan appealing, but “Elf” does not make every Shadow spell an Agility-only skill. Larry’s older video compares a stamina-only physical option with Plague Shards, which uses concentration, and Frozen Strike, which uses both resources. Learning requirements and casting costs must be checked independently.

Larry Puss — build experiments

Use this priority order instead of copying one finished stat screen:

  1. Meet the learning requirements for the core setup and payoff skills.
  2. Preserve the resource pools needed to complete the rotation.
  3. Add enough survivability for the difficulty and enemy type you are actually fighting.
  4. Compare offensive attributes only after the build can perform its full loop reliably.

A Shadow Elf player discussion reaches a personal allocation decision by comparing trade-offs for that player’s Bleed setup rather than simply maximizing the total number of attribute points. That is a useful way to think, but it is not a universal Strength-versus-Agility ranking.

Vanish, Perfect Vanish and Vanishing Strike

The names refer to different things:

  • Vanish is the Elf defensive action described by a Steam moderator.
  • Perfect Vanish is a well-timed use that teleports the Elf behind the enemy in that clarification.
  • Vanishing Strike is an attack used in Shadow build examples.
Steam moderator — Perfect Vanish

Do not tell a player to “use Vanish” when the build step actually requires Vanishing Strike. One is defensive timing; the other is part of an offensive loadout.

A reported Flickering Vanish issue

A September 16 Steam report describes a soft lock involving the Flickering Vanish variant of Vanishing Strike: the character disappeared, the screen behaved incorrectly, and movement or interaction stopped. A developer replied that similar reports would be investigated. The thread does not establish whether the issue was fixed by September 20, and player workarounds were inconsistent.

Steam report — Flickering Vanish issue

If the same behavior occurs, record the exact variant, game version and preceding actions. Do not assume every Vanishing Strike setup is affected, and do not treat returning to the menu as a guaranteed fix.

Gear, Gorehorn and Codex evidence

Revvy inspects Gorehorn in the Codex at 12:37–13:55. A Codex entry can show an item or set effect and point toward sources, but it does not prove that the demonstrated character has the full set equipped, that every listed enemy drops every piece, or that the set is mandatory for Convergence.

Revvy — Shadow Convergence and bleed

Use this gear process:

  1. Identify the effect that supports your chosen setup or payoff.
  2. Check the number of equipped pieces actually required to activate it.
  3. Read the Codex source for the specific piece you need.
  4. Separate a listed source from a confirmed personal drop.
  5. Compare the build with and without the effect before calling the set required.

Until the equipped gear and current Codex entries are captured together, this guide treats Gorehorn as a candidate synergy, not a build requirement or a guaranteed farm route.

Elf Shadow FAQ

Is Temporal Surge into Double Strike the same build as Shadow Convergence?

No evidence currently establishes that. They are separate creator examples: one demonstrates buff conversion, while the other focuses on Bleed and Shadow Convergence.

Can I equip both approaches?

Do not assume so from the skill names. Confirm the five-spell bar, prerequisites, modifier exclusivity and resources on one unchanged character before recommending a combined loop.

Does every Elf Shadow need an all-Agility allocation?

No. Check the learning requirements and resource costs of the exact spells you equip. Hybrid or concentration-using choices can change the useful allocation.

What does Perfect Vanish mean?

In the Steam moderator clarification, it is a correctly timed Elf defensive action that teleports the character behind the enemy. It is not another name for Vanishing Strike.

How many Bleed stacks can Elf Shadow have?

This guide does not publish one global number. Creator examples show configuration-specific requirements, while Early Access modifiers and skill interactions can differ. Use the current Codex, tooltip and visible status counter for your chosen setup.

Is Gorehorn required?

Not from the evidence available here. It appears as a Codex research lead in the creator video, but that does not establish full equipped use or necessity.

For the contrasting melee route, read the Minotaur Brawler bleed build.
