Dimraeth Human Mage Burning build

Apply Burning with Fireball and Conflagration, decide whether to spend stacks, and use Human ranged basics to recover concentration.

The short answer

A Dimraeth Human Mage Burning build uses the Human + Mage Archetype (often shown as Elemental Ranger) to apply Burning with skills such as Fireball and Conflagration, then either maintain those stacks or spend them with modifiers like Combusting—while Human ranged basics fill concentration gaps. This page expands the developer’s fire-focused example; it is not a measured best Mage ranking.

This route combines DimraethDev’s Human Mage Burning planning notes, Revvy’s Elemental Ranger creation-screen observation, official resource and patch context, and a labeled community Ember Cascade write-up. Exact coefficients, set thresholds and Cascade trigger rules must be checked against your current tooltips and patch notes. Early Access launched with three races, three classes and a level cap of 25.

Start with the broader Dimraeth builds guide if you are still choosing a direction. Use character creation for weapons, Archetype passives and attribute resets, and the skill-tree modifier method when exclusive Fireball upgrades force a choice.

Archetype, Elemental Ranger and weapon swap

Dimraeth separates race, class and the combined Archetype. Human + Mage is therefore not the same character as Minotaur + Mage. Revvy’s walkthrough shows Elemental Ranger for Human Mage and Earthshaker for Minotaur Mage on the creation screen. Those names explain why weapon kit and central passive must be read on your own pairing before copying another Mage’s attributes.

Creator videos agree that Human brings a melee weapon plus a ranged option and can switch mid-fight. Some recordings say bow; others say crossbow. That wording difference does not establish two separate equippable ranged weapons. For Burning builds, the useful fact is the same: you can keep attacking at range between spell casts instead of treating every cooldown as idle time.

Pixel Rookie’s review mentions an ice-focused Minotaur Mage in a group. That is evidence of another workable Mage direction, not a finished ice guide and not a reason to copy Minotaur attributes onto Human.

Core loop: apply Burning

DimraethDev’s Human Mage example is explicit about the first step: build around applying the Burning effect with early Conflagration and Fireball, then look for equipment that combos with that effect or oil that helps Burning spread. Treat Fireball as your reliable applicator and Conflagration as the tool that keeps or spreads Burning when packs are not already stacked inside one Fireball hit—then verify both current tooltips.

Developer — spells and Human Mage example ↗

A practical apply loop:

  1. Confirm you can learn Fireball and Conflagration on this character (attributes and prerequisites).
  2. Cast Fireball to establish Burning on the targets you can reach.
  3. Use Conflagration to carry Burning onto enemies outside the first hit, or to reinforce packs between Fireball casts.
  4. Weave Human basic attacks—especially the ranged mode—while spells cool down, so concentration recovers and you are not standing still.
  5. Only after application is consistent, decide whether a consuming modifier belongs on the bar.

“Builder” and “spender” are useful player terms here: Fireball and Conflagration are setup tools; Combusting or any other consume effect is a spender. Do not add a spender until the builder actually lands stacks in real fights.

Player discussion — builder and spender framework ↗

Optional: Combusting and other consume choices

The same developer spells post lists exclusive Fireball modifier directions. One of them is Combusting, which consumes Burning stacks on the target for bonus damage. Other named directions in that post include Charged, Piercing and Rapid Embers (described there as much shorter cooldown at a large damage reduction). Modifier choices are exclusive per aspect, so picking Combusting is a real trade against Rapid Embers or another branch—not a free extra node.

Developer — spells and Human Mage example ↗

Official patch 0.107.7779 includes a German Rapid Embers localization/value fix (75% → 50% on that German node). That confirms Rapid Embers remains a live named modifier and that displayed values can diverge by language or version. Recheck the English tooltip in your build before planning around either the pre-launch 75% figure or the German-node number.

When to consider consuming Burning:

SituationPrefer maintainPrefer consume (e.g. Combusting)
Pack clear while Burning DoT is doing workKeep stacks ticking and spreadingOnly if a single burst removes a priority target faster
Boss with long windowsMaintain if gear/keystones reward high stacksConsume when the tooltip payoff clearly beats the lost ticks
You just applied Burning onceCast again before spendingAvoid emptying stacks you cannot reapply safely

The community Ember Cascade write-up below explicitly chooses not to use consume-Burn for its solo route and treats consume as a different (often group-oriented) plan. That is one player preference, not an official rule.

Community Ember Cascade routes (labeled)

Label: Community / third-party player guide — not a Mudtek build ranking.

A September 21, 2026 gameplay.tips write-up titled Human Ember Cascade Magician describes a solo loop that:

  • applies Burn stacks with Fireball,
  • spreads with Conflagration,
  • stays in Human ranged (crossbow) mode via Weapon Swap, then removes Swap from the bar to remain ranged,
  • aims for enough Burn stacks (the guide cites 10) so Cascade can trigger from normal ranged attacks (Rain of Arrows was tested by that author and did not trigger Cascade),
  • treats Dragon’s Breath / Fire Breath as a burst spell on cooldown rather than a consume-Burn setup,
  • lists early set names such as Burnward, Pyreweaver and Enflamed, plus Flaming Oil / Oil Flask as optional fire support.
Community guide — Ember Cascade Magician ↗

Official patch 0.107.7779 independently names Ember Cascade and changes its coefficient from 0.15 to 0.11 per fireball. That confirms Ember Cascade is a real, patched interaction tied to Fireball in the live notes. It does not by itself confirm the community guide’s stack threshold, ranged-only trigger, gear lists or attribute ratios.

Official patch 0.107.7779 ↗

Verify in-game before copying Cascade claims:

  1. Whether Cascade (or Ember Cascade) appears on your keystone/tooltip and what it currently requires.
  2. Whether only normal ranged basics proc it, or other skills also qualify after later patches.
  3. How many Burning stacks you actually need on the current version.
  4. Whether set bonuses named in the write-up still exist and match the Codex.

Attribute ideas in that guide (for example Intelligence/Adventure ratios, Memory for Meteor, HP bands, Crit thresholds) are player allocation examples. Recheck them against your Archetype passive, spell requirements and Elixir of Rebirth rather than treating them as official optima.

Attributes, concentration and progression

Separate learning requirements from cast costs

Meet the attributes required to learn Fireball, Conflagration and any later fire spell before worrying about perfect ratios. Learning a spell does not guarantee you can cast it repeatedly and still dodge or block. Read concentration and stamina on the current tooltip separately.

Concentration recovers through basic attacks

Developer and moderator replies describe combat concentration as recovering when you land normal-attack hits, while stamina recovery and defensive spending follow different rules. Human’s ranged mode makes that recovery loop practical for a caster who would otherwise empty concentration and then stand idle.

Progression milestones (functional, not a permanent click map)

  1. Confirm Human Mage / Elemental Ranger passive and weapon swap.
  2. Learn Fireball; pick an early modifier that matches your goal (fast reapply versus later consume).
  3. Add Conflagration once you can meet its requirements and sustain its cost.
  4. Practice apply → basic attacks → reapply before adding a consume modifier.
  5. If you pursue Ember Cascade, verify the live keystone text after patch notes such as 0.107.7779.
  6. Add gear, oil or extra fire spells only when they support the loop you already execute.

Node positions change during Early Access. Follow current names and prerequisites rather than left/right directions from any video or third-party tree screenshot.

Gear, oils and set thresholds

DimraethDev’s example points to set drops that combo with Burning or oil for Burning spread, without publishing a complete BiS list. Match equipment to the loop you actually use:

  1. Identify whether a set modifies Fireball, Conflagration, Burning, Ember Cascade or fire damage.
  2. Check how many pieces activate the bonus before replacing a working item.
  3. Prefer correct rolled stats over forcing a set name when the threshold is incomplete.
  4. Look up each piece’s Codex sources; a named set is not a promise that one enemy drops every slot.
  5. Keep promising pieces for a second character before salvaging everything outside this theme.

Flaming Oil / Oil Flask appear in the community Cascade write-up as optional fire support. Treat oils as situational consumables until you confirm current item text. Upgrade observations such as +11 gear on other creator characters are recordings of those builds, not a guarantee that upgrade caps stay fixed.

Human Mage Burning FAQ

What is the Human Mage Burning build?

It is a Human + Mage route focused on applying Burning with Fireball and Conflagration, then either maintaining those stacks or spending them (for example with Combusting), while Human ranged basics recover concentration. The developer’s comment is the primary planning source; community Cascade pages are optional labeled examples.

Should I use Combusting / consume Burning or keep stacks?

Use consume when the current tooltip payoff is worth the stacks you remove. Keep stacks when your gear, Ember Cascade keystone or pack-clear plan rewards high Burning. The community Ember Cascade solo write-up prefers not consuming; that is one route, not a universal rule. Verify both options in the current build.

Is Human Mage the same as Minotaur Mage?

No. They share the Mage class theme but differ in Archetype (Elemental Ranger versus Earthshaker in Revvy’s recording), weapon kit and tree. Do not copy Minotaur attributes, axe assumptions or ice examples onto Human without checking the pairing.

How do I recover concentration between fire spells?

Land basic attacks. Official discussion distinguishes concentration recovery through normal-attack hits from stamina recovery. Human’s ranged weapon mode is the practical filler for this build. Individual skill costs still require tooltip checks.

Is this the best Mage build in Early Access?

No controlled comparison establishes a best Mage ranking across pairings, difficulties and patches. This page offers a sourced Burning direction and labeled community Cascade notes. Pixel Rookie’s ice Minotaur Mage mention only shows that other Mage themes also appear in play.

Does patch 0.107.7779 prove Ember Cascade is mandatory?

No. The patch confirms the name and a coefficient change (0.15 → 0.11 per fireball). It does not require every Human Mage to path into Cascade, and it does not validate third-party gear lists by itself.

For bleed melee, continue to Minotaur Brawler. For Convergence bleed, see Elf Shadow. For another Human ranged status contrast, compare the Poison routes. Broader questions live in the FAQ.
